Business Association of the Certified Quality Brand
The Business Association of the Certified Quality Brand was born in 1990 in order to reinforce the sector against an everyday bigger competence, under the name of Business Association of Users of the Quality distinctive “Food of Andalusia” until 1997, date in which they changed the name into LANDALUZ Business Association of Agro-alimentary Quality in Andalusia.
The aforementioned modification took place due to European Community requirements which generated several changes, obliging the regional administration to abolish the original distinctive: Andalusian Food. During these years the Consejería de Agricultura y Pesca de la Junta de Andalucía (Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery), created in 2001 with the aim of supporting the sector, a new brand named CERTIFIED QUALITY.
LANDALUZ decided to adapt itself to the new reality with the intention of facilitating their companies the incorporation to the public project so as to integrate those companies having the same in a great confederation representing their interests with a new denomination LANDALUZ Business Association of the Certified Quality.
For all those businesspeople integrated in LANDALUZ Business Association, it has been very easy, just a change in the name and in the projects origin, a sole ensign, controlled and administered by the Regional Government: CERTIFIED QUALITY.
Currently, Landaluz is the most representative entity of the sector of our Regional Community (35% of the sector) reaching a global invoicing of all the associated companies higher than 4,000 millions of € (more than 500,000,000,000 pesetas) and generating more than 20,000 jobs, due to the fact of joining more than 140 companies of the agroalimentary sector merchandising Andalusian products. Likewise, it continues its expansion strategy in the national and international markets, at the same time that reinforces its good name in the internal market of Andalusia.
